cause pop music is a funny thing ... and a lucrative racket.
the Beatles, Stones, Byrds, The Who etc etc etc
re-issues, re-mixes re-masters....
re-money re-money re-money
How many times can you sell the same song??
How many times can you get your fans to pay you for the same song??
...or re-issue their re-issues?

wow that guy was amazing. Took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on and realize that his native tongue wasn't english and that is why nobody stood up and said "what in the world!?!?!".
If you count 8 tracks then this is the fourth issue of Beatles albums. When you get to this point it is no longer about the songs for the person buying the music. It is about the artwork, the liner notes, the fact that all the albums are in one place with a neat box and other nifty stuff.
The rolling stones on the other hand...I think they do a best of every 4 years just to see if people will pay money for it thinking that it isn't the same one released 4 years ago. And I'm pretty sure people still do pay money for it.
Yep, I love his interpretive "take" on the song, the anticipation of "when is the choir coming in??" and of course the hanging question of "what are those chicks in the front going to do?? ... dance? sing? or just stand there??
My other big question is when are the Monkeys going to offer a boxed set of their TV show??
